An armchair here runs from 79cm to 152cm wide, so the practical question is what the gap in the room will take. Prices run from £298 to £898. Most are fabric, and those also sit in the fabric sofas collection; a few are genuine or faux leather. Twenty-one recline, and reclining armchairs is the shorter list if that is the point. Start with the width.

Width, and what is published
Photographs flatten the difference between a 79cm chair and a 152cm one, so work from the numbers. A chair that reclines needs clearance to open as well, so measure the space in front of it, not just the footprint it stands on.
- Widths run 79cm to 152cm across the range
- Most pieces carry full width, depth and height, and many add seat height, seat depth and armrest height
- Measurements are approximate, and a few pieces have none published
Colour and material
Material is the shorter list here: 48 pieces are fabric, four faux leather and two genuine leather. Across those, grey, beige and black cover most of the chairs, with mocha, green, olive, brown and charcoal on a handful. If the chair is joining a sofa you already own, settle the material before the shade.
Common questions
Is a powered armchair different from a manual one?
Only in how it opens. Fifteen of the 21 reclining pieces here use a powered mechanism rather than a lever, which leaves six that do not. Width, colour and material are decided the same way whichever you choose, so those are worth settling first.
Which armchairs suit a small room?
Start at the narrow end of the width span. Chairs here begin at 79cm overall, and the Dimensions tab gives depth and height alongside width on most pieces. A chair that does not recline also saves you leaving clearance for the seat to open.
Can I add a footstool to an armchair?
Footstools have their own pieces and prices, so pairing one is a matter of matching colour, material and height yourself. Compare both product pages, including the Dimensions tab on each, before ordering. The footstools run from 70cm to 125cm wide.
