Delivery
Free delivery to mainland England and Wales. In-stock items arrive in 1 to 7 business days, brought to the room of your choice and assembled by a two-person team at no extra cost.
Free delivery to mainland England and Wales
Delivery is free on every Furniture Lovers order to mainland England and Wales. There is no minimum spend, and nothing is added at checkout.
We deliver to mainland England and Wales only. We do not currently deliver to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands or other offshore islands.
If we cannot deliver to your address, we will contact you before dispatch rather than adding a charge, and you can cancel for a full refund.
How long delivery takes
For items in stock, delivery takes 1 to 7 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday, not counting bank holidays.
If an item is not in stock, its product page shows the date the next stock is expected instead of the 1 to 7 business days window. That window then runs from when the stock arrives, not from the day you order, and the item cannot be added to the basket until it is here.
We confirm your delivery date with you once it has been arranged. We do not give an exact date for an order before then.
What to expect
- Place your order.
- Receive your order confirmation by email.
- Delivery is arranged. We contact you to agree a date, and a responsible adult needs to be at the property on the day.
- A two-person delivery team brings the furniture to the room of your choice.
- The team assembles it where it will stand, at no extra cost. Flat-pack furniture is the exception and arrives ready for self-assembly.
White-glove delivery and assembly
Delivery is made by an external specialist furniture delivery service. Every piece we sell is brand new.
The two-person team carries the furniture into the room of your choice and assembles it there, so you are not left with a sofa in the hallway and a bag of feet. This is included in the price.
Flat-pack furniture is the one exception: it is delivered boxed, for you to assemble.
Assembly in the room of your choice depends on the team being able to get the furniture there safely, which is why the route matters — see below.
Before you order: measure the route
Sofas are large and often cannot bend around tight access points. Please check the product dimensions — published on every product page under Dimensions — and the full route from the entrance of your property to the room where the furniture will be placed.
- Front and internal door widths and heights
- Hallways, landings and tight turns
- Staircase width and ceiling clearance
- Lift dimensions and access rules
- Communal entrances and corridors
- The final room dimensions and placement area
Not sure it will fit? Email shop@furniturelovers.co.uk with the product name and your access measurements before ordering. We would rather help you check first than have a delivery fail.
The delivery team may decline to move furniture through an access route if they reasonably believe it would be unsafe or likely to cause damage to the furniture, your property or people at the property.
When your furniture arrives
- Check the correct product, colour and configuration have arrived
- Check visible surfaces, cushions, feet and accessories
- Test electric, reclining or sofa-bed functions where practical
- Report visible damage to the team immediately
- Photograph the product and packaging if anything looks wrong
If you discover visible delivery damage after the team has left, contact shop@furniturelovers.co.uk as soon as possible and ideally within 48 hours, with photographs and your order details. Reporting quickly helps us investigate, and reporting after delivery does not remove your statutory rights.
If nobody is available or access is not possible
If a confirmed delivery attempt fails solely because no responsible adult is available, access has not been made possible, or another issue within your reasonable control prevents delivery, we may recover the reasonable direct costs actually caused by the failed attempt.
Where a further delivery is required, any additional direct cost will be explained to you before a new delivery is arranged. Charges reflect genuine costs we incur and are not intended to operate as a penalty.
These charges do not apply where the failed delivery was caused by us or our delivery partner, or where you are exercising a statutory right in relation to faulty, misdescribed or incorrect goods.
Wrong or missing items
If we send the wrong item because of an error on our side, contact us and we will arrange the appropriate correction without charging you for the replacement delivery.
If small non-essential parts are missing, such as feet, decorative cushions or fittings, we may send those parts separately rather than replacing the whole item.
Delivery questions
Do you deliver to Northern Ireland, Scotland or the islands?
Our delivery area is mainland England and Wales. We do not deliver to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands or other offshore islands. If your address is outside mainland England and Wales, email shop@furniturelovers.co.uk before ordering and we will tell you whether we can help.
Is there a delivery charge?
No. Delivery to mainland England and Wales is free on every order, with no minimum spend and nothing added at checkout.
Will the team assemble my sofa?
Yes. The two-person delivery team brings the furniture to the room of your choice and assembles it there, at no extra cost. Flat-pack furniture is the exception: it arrives boxed, for you to assemble.
Do I need to be at home?
Yes. A responsible adult needs to be at the property to receive the furniture and check it over before the team leaves. We agree the delivery date with you in advance.
What if it will not fit through the door?
Measure the full route before you order: doors, hallways, stairs, turns and the room itself, against the dimensions on the product page. If you are not sure, email shop@furniturelovers.co.uk with the product name and your measurements and we will check with you. The team may decline to move furniture through a route they believe is unsafe, and a delivery that fails for a reason within your control can carry the direct cost of the failed attempt.
Can I change my delivery date?
Yes, if you tell us as early as possible. Once a delivery has been committed to a route, a late change or a failed attempt caused by something within your control may carry the reasonable direct cost involved, which we will explain before anything is rebooked.
Returns are handled separately
Do not send furniture back to our registered office or to a supplier without speaking to us first. See Returns & Refunds for the process, and Warranty for the guarantee.
Anything else, email shop@furniturelovers.co.uk or use the contact form.
